Mallorca – The Airplane Edition
I’ve been to Mallorca for a week. It was crowded and hot. Very crowded and very very very hot. But it was a nice trip nevertheless, and of course I brought some photos. First batch: airplanes! (I mean, how can people NOT look out of the window half the time?)
Origami street art right around my corner
When I left the house for breakfast this morning, I found this beautiful piece of street art right around my corner. A flock of rainbow-colored cranes was sitting on the pole of a road sign. Seems like someone was inspired by Mademoiselle Maurice.
I have no idea who did it, so unfortunately I can’t give credit to the artist. But thanks so much to that person! I love the piece and I hope it’s gonna be there for a while. And maybe some more birds are gonna fly around in the neighborhood in the future.
Surprise Surprise
About a week ago I found an exposed black and white film in one of my drawers. I had no clue how long it had been there, when I had shot it or what might be in the photos. So I got it developed and waited for the surprise. And here it is: photos from trips to the Netherlands and Spain from about two or three years ago.
This is one of the reasons why I still love film (although I have to admit I don’t use it that often anymore). How could you possibly get a surprise like this with something like Instagram or a regular digital camera?
Renovation
There’s this room in Dortmund’s north where four people are going to create great stuff soon. You can visit the room and the people on friday.
Typo Berlin – Day 3
The last day. I especially liked the lecture by Martin Grothmaak from Projekttriangle who gave a very personal insight into his (mostly really great) work.
