Seilbahn
The last ten photos from my VSCO grid. Including Haldern Pop Festival, strange animals, and chairs in my neighborhood.
As our place for the holidays wasn’t far away and none of us had ever been to Castle Neuschwanstein, we decided to go and see the buildung that often seems to be the German sight for everyone from abroad. After waiting for more than an hour we finally got our tickets and were able to check out King Ludwig’s bedroom (lots of wood (pun intended)), his little darkroom (officially referred to as grotto), the telephone line (directly to his mum in the castle next-door) and the singer’s hall (lots of squirrels drawn on the wall). One of the most touristic things I’ve ever done, I guess. Here’s some photos. (I’m afraid no wood, no darkroom, no squirrels – taking pictures inside the castle isn’t allowed.)
And here’s the first bunch of photos taken from my VSCO grid: some shots from a recent trip to the Alps. All pictures taken with my phone* and processed with the VSCO Cam app. I also took some “real” photos which I will post here.

A few weeks ago I rode the Ruhrtalradweg, a bike path along the complete river Ruhr. It’s a very nice route and I didn’t take half as many photos as I would have liked to – but mostly it was just so great rolling along that I didn’t even want to get off the bike.
For a few months now I have a new phone – faster, with a better camera and more storage space. So I decided to finally join Instagram. There are lots of things I don’t really like about it and I won’t get used to, either, but I’ll give it a try anyway. You can follow my account here: jott_kah (My usual name was taken already. That’s one of the things I don’t like!)
What I like way more though is the VSCO grid. It’s more like a portfolio than a social media image thousands of comments emojis advertising blahblah thing like Instagram. And I (still) love the filters in the app – there are lots, they’re subtle and there’s a ton of other possibilities to edit a photo. So I hope I won’t get bored by the VSCO look too fast. This is my personal grid URL: jottkah.vsco.co. But I also want to establish a routine of posting all my recent VSCO images here in the blog.
